About the Program
The Education Center presents the Professional Master's Degree in Basic Education - MPEB, based on previous experiences and with the aim of contributing to better educational results and, above all, meeting the demands of continuing education for teachers working in Basic Education in the Northeast of Brazil. The program aims to combine academic research with the professorial habitus hoping to overcome Basic Education problems, which include school management, disability inclusion, ethnic-racial issues, gender relations, sexuality, teaching methods and the need for different languages ¿¿in the classroom.
The MPEB is an in-person program, which combines the efforts of professors to improve basic education and focuses on studying the problems and challenges of practices, as well as producing alternatives for coping with them. The MPEB has the general objective of training and improving professionals in the field of knowledge about Basic Education, through studies of theories, methodologies, processes and themes that meet the demands of current and future education.
Duration: 24 months
Workload: 360 hours
Courses (30h each):4 Mandatory; 6 optional; 2 for Dissertation Elaboration.
Class Schedule: Fridays from 18:00h to 22:00h and Saturdays from 08:00h to 12:00h and 13:00h to 17:00h.
