UFPE Doctoral Student Highlights International Experience in Poland

José Daniel da Silva Fonseca, a doctoral student in the Materials Science Graduate Program (PPGMtr) at UFPE and a member of the Suprammat research group, was recently interviewed by the Live more. Pomerania channel, where he shared his experience during his "sandwich PhD" at the Gdansk University of Technology in Poland.

In addition to his academic pursuits, José Daniel won the second edition of the Mayor of Gdansk's Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit Scholarship Programme for international PhD students, allowing him to spend one year in Poland. During the interview, he highlighted the challenges and opportunities of conducting part of his research at a prestigious international institution. He discussed the impact of this academic exchange on his professional and personal development, as well as the scientific collaborations that emerged from this experience.
